Liebster award

Two weeks ago the lovely sisters at louie.and.coco nominated me for a Liebster Award. I was so surprised and excited to be nominated for the Discover New Blogs award. Thank you Louie and Coco for nominating me. I wanted to spread the love and nominate a few of the new (to me) blogs I have recently started loving.

For any of you out there, who don´t know the rules, here they are:

- Mention/thank/tag the blogger who nominated you.
-Explain the rules for the next lucky nominees.
- Answer the questions given to you.
- Nominate and link blogs with less than (200) followers.
- Post 11 questions of your own.
- Notify bloggers that they have been nominated.
-Also: you may want to display the award on your blog — by including it in your post and/or displaying it using a “widget” or a “gadget”.

These were my questions:
1. Favourite sandwich? I have to say it a tie between a falafel and an egg sandwich on a bagel.

2. Favourite lyrics? "
I can't believe how naive I was to think things could ever be so simple" from the song Tonight We're Gonna Give It 35% by Against Me!.  Against Me! was my favorite band during my High School days and hearing them instantly transports me back to another time.  I don't know if these are my favorite lyrics of all time but the feeling and nostaglia I get from hearing Against Me!'s old records is incredible.

3. If your life were a song, what would the title be?  I Want to Be On Vacation All The Time

4. Favourite season? SUMMER!!!!

5. Best way to relax? By a pool or on the beach with a book.

6. Favourite musician? Damien Rice

7. Movie that made you laugh the hardest? Meet The Deedles.  Its a really awful but amazing Disney Movie starring Paul Walker that I just thought was hilarious as a kid.

8. Who inspires you? For as long as I can remember I have aspired to be an author.  Children's book authors are people who inspire me the most. Besides authors I am always inspired by people who know who they are, want they want and pursue their dreams with no regrets.

9. What´s the best thing that happened to you this week? Seeing friends over a delicious brunch in Soho followed by a Gossip Girl celebrity sighting.

10. Proudest moment of last year? Being offered my current position and being about to move to New York City.  Finding a new job is tough and I was so proud to be picked for the one I really wanted.

11. An item of clothing you had the longest? I have a t-shirt that I sleep in that I got in 4th grade! It still fits and is in great shape for being over 20 years old.

*my nominees are:

*Marmalade + Rye
 *Books, Tea & Me
 *Books & Macarons
*Love Wild. Be Free
*make sure to check them out!

Questions for my nominees
1.What is your favorite dessert?
2. What color clothing do you wear the most?
3. Who is your favorite Artist?
4. What was your favorite book as a child?
5. What book is currently your favorite?
6. What television show could you watch on repeat forever?
7.  What is your Favorite Quote?
8. Coffee or Tea?

    1. Thanks again for the nomination! I saw Kelly Rutherford (Lily, Serena's Mom). Surprisingly she looks just as good in person as she does on TV. Most of the celebrities I have seen around NYC look way older in person.

  4. Yay - congrats on all of your blogging success!

I'm also a HUGE Against Me! fan. I know that a lot of people listened to them in high school and have nostalgic feelings about them, but I still put those albums on at least once a month. I feel like it's music that I can grow with because it's quite multi-layered.

Hope you're having a great week!

    1. Kathryn,
Always love your comments! Thank you so much for taking the time to read and comment. It means a lot to me!
I put on Against Me records on a lot too. Its incredible the changes the band has gone through since I started listening to them. Not even accounting for the changes that Laura Jane Grace has personally gone through. Definitely an incredible person that one. Really happy she is finally being the person that she wants to be. I have seen them countless times and its always an incredible show. Talking about them right now makes me really want to see them again soon!
Hope you are having a fabulous week too! I can't wait for the weekend. ~megan
