Tea Time Topics

Topics I stumbled upon this week, while drinking tea and browsing the internet.

I need more tea sets in my life.  Thinking about getting the one above.

Looking to woo a man this Valentine's Day? If so skip the chocolate and make him some banana bread. There's a great recipe here. One weekend on a trip to the mountains with friends, my girlfriend brought banana bread and served it with Nutella. I have never seen three grown men gush so genuinely over a baked good in my life!! So I'm pretty sure the way to a single man's heart is with banana bread and Nutella.  For ways to jazz up your banana bread even more, look at these

I like my valentines with chocolate, but if you are looking for great candy alternatives

I never know how much to tip when I travel. In the US tips seem to be expected everywhere, but that is not the case in other countries. In some countries tipping can even be considered rude.
This tip guide is amazing! Will definitely be referring to this before my next big trip.

I hope my husband brings me this for Valentine's Day! (minus the pepperoni)

I know Valentine's Day can be tough on single people, but sometimes its good to take a step back and appreciate one's alone time. What are your favorite things to do in your alone time?

Looking for a last minute Valentine? Check out these amazing Paint By Number inspired cards designed by Heidi Kenney. She provides a free pdf for printing! Her newest Valentine's Day giveaway is adorable too! Her designs are always the cutest.

How amazing are these Kiss Good-Bye Photos taken in the Old Penn Station in 1943?

Where I wish I was spending Valentine's Day!

Have a terrific Valentine's Day and a wonderful weekend!
I am lucky to have a long weekend since Monday is President's Day!
Cheers,

  1. I also have a long weekend (woo hoo!) but it's because Monday is Family Day. It's a stat holiday but all the museums are free - it's a nice excuse to spend some time with loved ones.

I totally agree with you about the banana bread thing! Not to go all Freudian but I think it's because a lot of people's moms make banana bread and so they have a lot of nice memories associated with it :)

  2. Kathryn,
I would have never thought about that and banana bread. You may really have something there. My mom made it all the time and so did my grandmother. I hate it though ick. Its just not for me. Love the smell, so cozy but not the taste.

Family Day sounds like an awesome idea. What a great way to encourage people to spend time with loved ones and learn something since the museums are free! I always feel like I do not spend enough time in museums here. I think Monday I will celebrate Family Day instead of President's Day and spend the day in a museum. Thank you for the inspiration.
