5 Things From the Museum of Modern Art

Today we ventured off to the Museum of Modern Art. The MOMA is filled with amazing paintings, drawings, sculptures, video projection art, films and product design prototypes. Its an incredible museum that is totally worth visiting.  Its a bit pricier than the Metropolitan Museum of Art or the American Museum of Natural History since the MOMA has a straight 25 dollar admission price.  The other two museums have a suggestion donation price but in reality you can pay what ever you want.  (I once saw a woman angrily throw down two dimes as her admission price for four people).

Below are the five pieces of art that I enjoyed seeing the most.

The Red Studio by Henri Matisse

 Agapanthus by Claude Monet

Portrait of the Postman Joseph Roulin by Vincent van Gogh
Girl before a Mirror by Pablo Picasso
The super-sized video game below was amazing. The room was huge probably about the size of my apartment and there was a video game projected on the walls that you could actually play.  It was really cool.  You had to run with your character to keep up with the game.

So those are my favorite things from the MOMA.  It was tough to just pick five.
Have you ever visited the MOMA? What are your favorite pieces of art to experience in person?
