March Madness

Well at least the snow is gone!
I am really not sure where March went. It felt like I blinked and it was over.  A lot has happened though that has cemented the fact (at least to me) that I am actually a New Yorker and will be for the foreseeable future. (Sometimes it still does not feel real!)

1. For starters we just signed a new lease! YAY! Our first year flew by and the rent only increased half of what I thought it would, so I was very happy about that. Plus moving is the pits and I love our neighborhood. So I am super happy to get to stay for another year.

2. I finally sold my car! For over a year I have been trying to sell my car and rid myself of car payments since I could not actually have my car in the city anyway. The price of parking my car in a garage was unbelievable so it was tucked away at my parent's house just collecting dust.  Finally though my little silver hybrid has found a new home. Its very strange to not own a car anymore. I have had one since I was 17 and it feels weird to be without one, but it also makes me feel like a real New Yorker!

3. I purchased my first Museum Membership! I am now a member of the Museum of Modern Art. (See Five things from the MoMA here) Very excited to visit a lot in the upcoming year.

I hope you had a great March! Mine did not feel very productive but I guess I did accomplish a few things on my To Do list.  I hope April brings me more productivity and some beautiful weather.  What are you looking forward to in April?

Cheers,
Megan

  1. Woo definitely a real new yorker! I'm the opposite and finally bought a car this month. I don't really need one in London but it definitely makes it easier to access different parts of the country which is ideal x

  2. How funny I sold a car and you bought one! Congrats on your new wheels. You are going to love having it. Impromptu road trips are the best! I hope you go on many so I can live through your pictures of the beautiful English Country side! :) ~megan
